Cold War Kids create music with a vintage feel, born of their embrace of diverse influences with roots that run deep into old school blues and soul aesthetics.  Frontman Nathan Willet’s vocals hark back to the soulful embrace of a Billie Holiday song, belting blues-infused lyrical narratives not without their political and philosophical influences.  Yet, the Cold War Kids backwards looking homage brings with it modern pop and dance influences, resulting in a unique anthology of eccentric tunes that are lyrically catchy and rhythmically danceable.   Their most recent work, Behave Yourself EP, was released in late 2009 on Downtown Records.
